Her MG-stey

Back in 2002, when I was the Head of Product PR for B MG Rover Group, it was an exciting period of time (an understatement) for the company that had, for the previous two years, been at the very centre of the motoring spotlight.

Its MG product range had greatly expanded from the MGF to the fourmodel range ZR, ZS, ZT and TF (the MGF’s radical-facelift with sprung suspension and a very neat style makeover) and with the anticipated, imminent arrival of a fifth MG with the XPower SV.

There was no such thing as a quiet time. The company, keen to build up the excitement for MG, had also embarked on numerous projects, mostly with motor sport
