HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Scores of MGFs and MGTFs quickly filled the ranks outside Gaydon’s British Motor Museum on the morning of Saturday, July 24th. It was a mixture of hoods up and hoods down, more towards the former, as the skies threatened to carry out the promise of the forecast: thundery showers. Fortunately for all of us, only the briefest of showers materialised and we were allowed our birthday party unperturbed by the weather.
Early on, a dense crescent of MGFs and MGTFs was established around the museum and people were out and about catching up with others they knew, some they’d not seen in a year or more. There were plenty of people milling about to observe the last of the cars arriving, including a particularly feisty MGF Cup car, with an attention-seeking idle sound, and an especially eye-catching line of yellow Trophy 160s arriving all together.
