MARYLEBONE IS MUSICAL MUSE

RISING STAR and talented musician Isaac Stuart has written a pop song about travelling on the Chiltern Main Line. It’s not every day that a London terminus has a song dedicated to it, but Banbury-born Isaac wrote the track ‘Midnight Train to Marylebone’ after travelling to and from the station over many years. We’re not sure that Class 168s are mentioned, but hear him perform his number for the first time on air and talk more about the song on BBC Radio Oxford via BBC Sounds at: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0cby50c

STATION ADOPTION CALL

IF you are in the Dorchester area, would you be willing to volunteer to adopt the town’s main station and, with South Western Railway and the Purbeck Community Rail Partnership, help set up a Friends of Dorchester South station group? Nearby, similar schemes at Wool and Wareham have been successful and made their stations welcoming and attractive focal points, that encourage rail travel
