Apple PR exercise?
In the PC Pro podcast of 28 April you discussed Apple’s plans to provide cost-effective repair of some products by enabling the home user to carry out such repairs. These could include the screen and battery. I am torn on this and would like to explain why.
First, as Lee Grant always explains so eloquently, any attempt to reduce waste is a good thing for the planet. I’d rather fork out the extra cash for it to be done by a professional at an Apple store, as Jon Honeyball promotes.
