Its new owners, who were moving from New York to LA to be closer to their grandchildren, enlisted the Seattle-based interior architecture and design studio Lucas. Founded by siblings Suzie and David Lucas (their sister Rachel joined them later and now runs the business operations), Lucas has carved a niche for creating understated elegant environments, with a particular proclivity for midcentury design.
