Holding the pregnancy test tight between my palm, I waited anxiously.
Turning over the stick, I couldn’t resist any longer.
It was positive.
Squealing with delight, I ran into the bedroom where my husband Matt, 32, was snoozing.
‘We’re pregnant,’ I shouted, waiting for him to stir.
We’d only got married a few months before, in May 2014, but we had been super excited to start a family.
Waking up every morning, I would look in the mirror to stroke my growing bump.
And at 20-weeks, we went to find out the gender.
We didn’t mind if we were going to have a boy or a girl, we just wanted to know how to decorate the nursery!
‘It’s a girl,’ the sonographer announced.
Matt and I looked at each other in pure delight, with huge smiles on our faces.
‘Hello girl,’ he cooed while rubbing my belly.
