Where were you when you heard the iPod had died? Everyone above a certain age will probably not be able to tell you, because we are too old, and immediately forgot. Most younger people probably couldn’t care less. Nonetheless, Apple’s longinevitable decision to stop making iPods is a cause for sadness.

The iPod’s mission to put all of history’s music into one little of music into a little box. Whereas now, with streaming, you really can get the entirety of recorded musical history beamed to your ears, at least in theory.
