Google’s new translation glasses

GOOGLE is working on smart eyeglasses that can translate different languages in real time. The global tech company recently revealed a working model, or prototype, showing the world what to expect.

The device looks like an ordinary pair of reading glasses – but when you talk to someone speaking in a foreign language, the English translation appears in your glasses. This means that two people can have a conversation even though they’re speaking different languages.

It also allows hearing-impaired people to see what others are saying to them. The glasses can translate from and to English, Spanish and Mandarin at this stage and works directly with Google Translate.
