I’ve had a fair few pigeons on my ground for the past month or so and have had a some good bags over linseed. But as has often been the way in this area of late, they vanished overnight.
There are fewer feeding opportunities in early May. The rape has got away and is in flower and any spring drilling has been scavenged. With the cover plots now stripped, the flocks become more mobile in their search for food.
