It’s More Fun in the…

It was a memorable, exhausting but worthwhile week when my good friend Kevin Kwan and my new good friend Lawrence Bender visited the country. Hereupon the invitation of Philippine Tourism Secretary Berna Puyat to the World Tourism Travel Council (WTTC), the two took Manila by storm, as top newscaster Karen Davila wrote on her IG page. Their travel to the country was not only to speak at the WTTC event but also to visit Palawan, which is the setting for an original screenplay that Kevin wrote. Both were overwhelmed with the warmth, cuisine, and hospitality of the Filipinos and the natural beauty of Palawan. After their trip back home to Los Angeles, I caught up with them as they reminisced on their time in the country.
