In Full Bloom at the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville

here was an extra bloom to this year’s Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville, was proud to sponsor the keynote address delivered by the inimitable Martha Stewart. The noted entrepreneur, author, and Emmy Award–winning television host addressed in her talk the show’s theme—“Home is where your story begins.” That is a sentiment that perfectly reflects every issue of Stewart shared more than two hundred photos of her farm in Bedford (Westchester County), New York, telling fascinating stories and sharing horticulture tips of how she has cultivated the grounds, designed the gardens, and renovated the housing structures for herself and her family. Co-chairs of the Show, Ashley Smith and Julia Spickard, and their team of volunteers, assembled an engaging lecture series for any garden and design enthusiast, as well as procuring a show floor of notable antiques and fine art dealers for the event, which attracted numerous attendees from around the world. As in years past, proceeds from the show benefitted Cheekwood Estate and Gardens and the Economic Club of Nashville Charities.
