A Night of Adventure
It was vacation week for my mom; my sister, Arlene; my aunt Louise; my cousin Marilyn and me. The year was 1942. Our grandparents’ cottage at Gages Lake, Ill., was a wonderful place to spend the week. The cottage was located on lakefront property. Simply sitting on the pier was enjoyable.
