Matt Walsh and Eva is an incredible drag, suffering from such a dearth of ideas that it wastes time on snack-making montages, incoherent conspiracy plots and wordless scenes of people walking through fields. It’s entirely unclear whether the goal was to create a bawdy Farrelly brothers-style romp or a gentle indie comedy; either way, no one is laughing.
