Passing on the reach
The patchy 3/4 reach is perfect for the RS200 asymmetric, and a great opportunity to gain time on the fleet. But the D-zero, which should be well ahead according to its handicap, is blocking progress... I watched this scenario (fig 1) unfold recently - and it's a classic dilemma for both dinghies and keelboats in mixed fleets. With the handicap clock ticking, how do we get clear while losing the minimum time on the rest of the fleet?
