NO TO A NAME CHANGE

I DISAGREE with Graham Fletcher when he says it’s important we change the title “groom” (opinion, 12 May). This is not the right tactic for seeking an improvement in the respect, recruitment and retention issues in our industry.

When in the stables at the Royal Windsor Horse Show recently, I discussed this with many of the national and international grooms working there. They were all proud of the role they perform and had no issue about their job title
