A ROYAL BADMINTON
I HAVE some very happy memories of Badminton, especially around 1955. We’d sat down near a new fence, jumping into a pond, and someone laid a rug on the grass beside us – it was The Queen and her party. I could have touched her shoulder and could hear their conversation.
I am 91 and also went to the very first Badminton, where it poured. And on another occasion, my cousin Doreen from Vancouver came with us.
