This month’s entry into the sketchbook comes from my trip to the April show at Stafford, an event always full of a wide variety of classic and veteran machines – this year’s show certainly kept up with its reputation. With various club stands and trade vendors in attendance, there are always a large number of stock motorcycles, but look hard enough and you will find some diamonds in the rough. This curiosity was found on the Silverstone Auctions’ stand and was a puzzle to many. Those that pondered long enough soon had their questions answered, when a large door on top of the bodywork was opened, revealing a large cargo space.
