Watching my daughter Summer playing in the garden, on a sunny day, I smiled.
We’d called her Summer for a reason – she was a happy girl, who was always smiling and truly made our life a warmer, sunnier place.
Summer was an IVF baby for my ex-husband Sam and I.
We’d longed for children, but unfortunately it hadn’t happened naturally.
So, when we were lucky enough to conceive with IVF, we were thrilled.
Through the years Summer, now seven, lived up to her name – always so happy and incredibly joyful.
Sadly, Sam and I parted ways after we had another child, a boy, Harley, now five, but we stayed amicable and we’re still friends.
