I grew up in a family where food was part of our DNA. Singaporeans know good food from birth, and my earliest memories are ones of sitting on my family’s kitchen floor, watching my mum pound chillies and herbs for sambal, skim soups and fill dumplings. My heritage as a Singaporean Australian has highly influenced who I am and how I approach food. How could it not? It’s literally who I am.
