Sheldon van der Linde was in devastating form at the Lausitzring last weekend. He controlled both DTM races for BMW to become the first double winner of 2022, and seized the series lead for good measure.

On a banner weekend for his Schubert Motorsport squad, which also swept the ADAC GT Masters races at the Red Bull Ring, the South African’s M4 GT3 was the class of the field. His dream weekend only came under any threat on the final lap of race two, when a closing Maro Engel’s GruppeM Mercedes came up 0.347s short.
