National Highways has released a Second Year Progress Report into the UK’s smart motorway network, following the government’s 2020 Stocktake & Action Plan. But despite the rollout of new safety technology on smart motorways being due to be completed by the end of September, motoring organisations are continuing to express safety concerns.
