ENCHANTED PRINCESS SET FOR SOUTHAMPTON
Princess Cruises is bringing Enchanted Princess (right) to the UK in summer 2022, making it the line’s fourth ship based in Southampton this year. The vessel, which joined the fleet in November 2021, will homeport there alongside Sky Princess, Emerald Princess and Island Princess. It will sail 13 voyages of four to 14 nights to the Canary Islands, Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Norway and Iceland.
Stuart Allison, Princess Cruises’ senior vice-president for Asia Pacific, UK and Europe, said: “We are delighted to have two of our newest ships in the UK this summer. Bringing Enchanted Princess to Southampton is testament to the UK cruise market.”
Princess also plans to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on its Southampton-based ships. From June 2-5, it will show live coverage of the Trooping of the Colour, a thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey and the Jubilee Party. Guests can tuck into a Royal Afternoon Tea and British-themed dinner, and those on Sky Princess will enjoy a Royal Variety Show-style performance and a talk from Grant Harrold, former butler to the Prince of Wales (princess.com).
UNIWORLD UNVEILS EPIC RIVER CRUISE
Luxury river cruise line Uniworld has launched a 43-day voyage across Egypt, India and southeast Asia on sale exclusively in the UK.
The boutique river cruise line will bring together four countries, three ‘super ships’ and 21 Unesco World Heritage Sites in one ‘exotic rivers’ adventure departing in January 2023.
It combines river cruising and luxury touring across Egypt and the Nile, India’s Golden Triangle and the Ganges, and a sailing along the Mekong through Vietnam and Cambodia.
