NEW SHIPS 2022

NORWEGIAN PRIMA

Not a line to shy away from innovations at sea, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Prima will be the first of six new-generation ships – with one due to launch each year until 2027 – when it sets sail this summer. The 3,215-passenger ship claims to offer the most outdoor deck space of any new-build. Its Ocean Boulevard will wrap around the entire deck and guests can not only lounge in hammocks or dine al fresco, but also swim in two infinity pools or cross a glass bridge that will make you feel like you’re walking over water. When it comes to accommodation, an exclusive area known as the Haven by Norwegian offers upscale suites, lounges and a spa that are only accessible via private lifts. Norwegian Prima’s maiden season starts in northern Europe this August, before heading across the Atlantic.

An eight-day cruise, Northern Europe: Iceland and Norway to Reykjavik, departing Amsterdam on August 17, starts from £2,564 per person for an inside cabin).
