WE ARE SNEAKING UP on the shortest day of the year. It always surprises me how early in winter this is. Here in Tasmania, it’s not properly cold yet, there’s just the threat of it. But even if the cold is mild, the light is falling swiftly from the days and the nights are noticeably longer. I love this time of year.
