With more than 20 years’ experience, Patrick Gower is one of Aotearoa’s most notorious journalists, equally known for his incisive reportage and idiosyncratic style. His career to date has seen him cover stories in Afghanistan, Iraq and the US, work as Newshub’s political correspondent and break stories of national significance as Newshub’s national correspondent. He’s also headed up two recent hard-hitting documentaries – Patrick Gower: On Weed and Patrick Gower: On P – and has another doco series in the works. But when he’s not working, dish learns, he does enjoy a good meal. We got the scoop on his ideal fish pie, what he loves about American food and the guilty food pleasure he can’t get enough of.
