Different articulations (staccato, legato and slurs) require careful practice. In order to make things flow, it will help to think in four-bar phrases – even longer eight-bar phrases. Bars 9-16 are a repeat of the first eight. The first 16 bars are also repeated, so you need to think of making some variety (e.g. the repeats can be played softer). The second section, however (bar 17 to the end), involves a bit more variation in terms of melody, even if that whole section is again repeated. Tail off gracefully towards the end, but don’t slow down.
