I GAVE UP WORK TO SAVE MY MARRIAGE

After putting the finishing touches to a freshly baked cake, I rushed around, clearing away the ironing board and wiping down the surfaces. The dinner table was set and there was a roast in the oven.

I had just enough time to whip off my pinny and apply fresh lippy before the front door swung open and my husband Phil walked in.

‘Something smells nice,’ he grinned.

I smiled with satisfaction. My husband was happy. Job done!
