At the Helm: Small Boats, Big Adventures

ia and I sold , a 1966 Allied Seabreeze yawl, circa 2015, around the same time we bought our Swan 48, , and got our off shore passage business up and running. We had sailed from Annapolis to Sweden via Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Ireland, then spent the following two summers cruising the Stockholm archipelago. We re-powered her in 2013 and then circumnavigated the Finnish island of Åland in the Baltic Sea, in what proved to be the last of our adventures on our beloved first boat. At the time, all I wanted was to sail ever bigger boats off shore. In retrospect, I suppose I took for granted all too.
