In the UK, this is happening on a massive scale and it is destroying the balance of life, as well as our future. But there is hope — in the form of rewilding. According to Rewilding Britain, rewilding can be defined as the large-scale restoration of ecosystems where nature is then allowed to take care of itself. Rewilding seeks to reinstate natural processes and, where appropriate, missing species, allowing them to shape the landscape and habitats from within ().
