You will need

■ Grey-brown fabric (outer street lamp) – One (1) 2in x 21in strip

■ Yellow print fabric (lantern) – One (1) 3½in x 3½in square

■ Ivory fabric (background) – One (1) fat eighth

Finished size

■ 6½in x 18½in

Notes

■ RST = right side(s) together.

■ Cutting is listed under each unit heading. Set aside any scraps for future blocks.

Making the lamp post

1 To make the lamp post, cut the following:

■ One (1) 1½in x 6½in piece and one (1) 1in x 6½in piece of grey-brown fabric.

■ Two (2) 3¼in x 6½in pieces and two (2) 3in x 6½in pieces of background.

2 To make the base, join a 3in).
