Market Basket

You will need

■ Red print fabric – Three (3) 2in squares

■ Yellow print fabric – Two (2) 2in squares

■ Blue print fabric (basket) – One (1) 4in square

■ Small scale blue print (basket handle) – One (1) 5in square

■ Ivory fabric (background) – One (1) fat sixteenth

■ ⅜in bias tape maker

■ Spray starch and glue baste (optional)

Finished size

■ 6½in x 6½in

Notes

■ HST = half-square triangle.

■ RST = right sides together.

■ For Nicola’s final quilt, you’ll need both blocks from each month to complete the final design.

Cutting out

1 From the background fabric, cut the following:

■ One (1) 5in square.

■ One (1) 4in square.
