Heavy rainfall continues to wreak havoc on SA vegetable production

March figures indicated that vegetable inflation moderated to 2,8% from 7,1% in February.
This decline was the result of increased volumes and improved quality following the negative impact that heavy rainfall had on these aspects during the first two months of the year.
While high levels of rainfall in April once again affected the vegetable market, vegetable inflation for the month was expected to ease
