BODNANT, Conwy

Set in the foothills of Snowdonia, Bodnant has 80 acres of Grade 1 listed gardens, meadow and woodland, so there’s no end of things to enjoy. However, by the end of May, it’s the 55-metre laburnum arch that grabs all the headlines. Created in 1880, it is said to be the longest and oldest in Britain and its pergola walkway of golden flowers attracts around 50,000 visitors each year, for very good reason.
