Test: Opsix & Wavestate native
For those who already own a good controller keyboard and prefer working in the DAW with total recall, a plug-in is the better alternative. But the plug-ins are also an interesting addition for owners of the hardware. Since these are digital synthesizers, Korg was able to take over the sound generation 1:1 in the plug-in.
This also means that hardware and plug-in are sound compatible. It’s no problem with this combination to screw a cool sound or sequence on the synthesizer on the sofa or on the road and load it into the plug-in for further processing and saving with the track in the DAW. This also makes sense the other way around: For the live performance, simply load the sounds and sequences from the DAW production into the hardware synthesizer and play on stage without a computer, which saves some intermediate steps that would otherwise be necessary.
