Beat / How are you, especially considering the difficult last two years that have left many musicians in uncertainty?

Franck / I‘m fine, thanks. For me the pandemic didn‘t change much professionally speaking. I wasn‘t planning to tour in 2020, but to stay home and compose. So my plans stayed the same. I hope that we are close to the end of the pandemic and that things will fall back into place, more or less as they were before. It‘s going to be nice to get back on tour, see people again and present my new live show.

Beat / It seems as if you continue to take a back seat to Carpenter Brut as a person, even though interest in you has certainly increased as a result of your growing success. What is your philosophy on this?

  / I don‘t change the philosophy of Carpenter Brut. Music comes first, no matter who makes it. I always mention the same example, that of Nike. You don‘t know the boss, but you know the logo. And that‘s the most important thing in the end. I don‘t want to have an Instagram account
