Beat / „Alles Ist nur Übergang“ is a beautiful title that basically describes life at its core. Was there a conceptual basis for the album?
Max / It was more a lesson from the album before. Back then, it was really just about finishing everything as quickly as possible. But that took four years - it was a traumatic process. This time I tried to look at it from a different perspective. Who decides when the songs are finished? Can‘t you just leave things as they are without changing them too much? Without immediately wishing they were different or better. Just let the music be.
Beat / For long stretches, „Alles ist nur Übergang“ is quiet and introverted. In what mood and at what times of day were the songs written?
/ I don‘t think you can pin it down to a time of day. It feels like a two-month manic phase in which the album was created. A time in which I simply allowed everything to happen. For example, that the songs are allowed to remain so open and quiet, that they often don‘t need drums, that there‘s no nonsense around them.
