ISHING hooks have seen some extensive developments over the years. What started out as a fairly simple bent piece of wood or bone centuries ago, has transformed into engineering works of art in the past few decades. I can remember live baiting from the rocks in the late ‘70s and using Suicide 6/0 or 8/0 hooks for yakkas or slimey mackerel.
