Enter Unicode characters in Notepad using Alt-X

The new-look Notepad in Windows 11 lets you enter Unicode characters by pressing Alt-X on your keyboard, just as you’ve been able to in Microsoft Office for years. As an example, type 0024 into Notepad, then press Alt-X and a dollar sign will appear (see screenshot below). Wikipedia has a list of. The screenshot also shows one of the main aspects of the redesigned Notepad: rounded corners. These were added so the tool fits more neatly with the style of Windows 11.
