New State Record Ō’io!
■ It was the Saturday night before Valentine’s Day when my boyfriend, Ty, and I decided to baitcast at an easy, drive-up spot on the west side. We loaded up the truck and got there at around 9 p.m. It was a beautifully clear, chilly night, and the moon was round and nearly full. We set up our poles and began battling the baitstealers and eels.
