Good news for coffee lovers

Kings College London study led by Professor Tim Spector has found that coffee drinkers tend to have a more diverse gut microbiome (a key marker of good gut health) than non coffee drinkers. These results were (nicknamed ‘Freddy’ by researchers). This is one of 15 ‘good’ gut bugs the team have linked to healthy blood sugar and fat responses after eating.
