Modest talents

aster is a great excuse for a family get-together and, for the first time in a long while, the in-laws did exactly this up Whangārei way. Highlights included being told that my brussels sprouts were “actually quite good” (thanks, Al Brown, for your recipe), and watching our 18-year-old son and his girlfriend recording a 15-second TikTok video with his younger cousins. If you’ve not for God’s sake don’t google it. That earworm will eat your brain.
