RELATIONSHIP EXPERT AND AUTHOR LARA ASPREY ON TAKING THE PLUNGE INTO A NEW LIFE WITH HER FAMILY IN CHILE

Lara Asprey’s favourite spot in her modernist, glass and concrete open-plan house just outside Santiago in Chile is her bedroom balcony, with views to the swimming pool in the garden below and out towards the mountains beyond.

“Everywhere you go in Chile, there’s a backdrop. In London, you wake up to grey skies and rain most of the time,” she says of the city she once called home.

“Here, we’re up high, the air is clean and crisp, there’s slight dew on the bushes and the sun is creeping up over the side of the mountains.”

Every evening, once she’s put children Elise, five, and 15-month-old Oliver to bed, the balcony is where Lara will lie on her daybed with a glass of wine
