Before Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday” dress set a new world record, the previous record holder was her dress made famous in one of the most iconic scenes in film history.
In filmmaker Billy, Monroe’s character cools off by standing over a subway grate to catch the breeze as a train speeds by underneath and sends her dress north as she says the famous line, “Oh, do you feel the breeze from the subway? Isn’t it delicious?”
