FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER: ADRIAN ROHNFELDER
Photographic Speciality/Style:
My passions are extra-terrestrial and natural landscapes. With my pictures I try to convey my fascination and reverence for the beauty and aesthetics of these landscapes. I prefer to work with rather hard and cold light.
Short Bio:
I studied business administration and worked as a freelance management consultant for a long time. In 2008 I started a tour to Indonesia to travel around the world’s volcanoes, initially on a purely private basis.
In 2013, after an amazing trip to Kamchatka in eastern Russia, my wife encouraged me to market the resulting images. And indeed, they were printed in a few magazines straight away. With further trips to volcanoes, more and more publications, competition awards and my first lectures came about.
In 2016 I received so many photographic assignments that it was no longer possible for me to bring together photography with my family (three children) and my consulting work. And so, we decided together that I would trade a suit for a camera and a very good income for an exciting life.
My first full-time photo project was the Volcanic 7 Summits in 2017 and 2018, of which an illustrated book was published in 2019 by the renowned teNeues Verlag.
My main photographic focus areas are lectures, articles and books as well as commissioned work.
