Shantytown Heritage Park is a recreated gold-rush village about six miles south of Greymouth on the west coast of New Zealand’s South Island, writes Phil Barnes.
One of its main attractions is a train ride along an original bush, an improved F-class design of 1896, built in Glasgow as works number 4270.
