Materials:

Lana Grossa Silkhair.

Content: 70 % superkid mohair, 30 % silk.

25 g = 210 m.

5 (6) 7 balls – col 159 salmon

Knitting needles:

Size 3 and 4 mm

Circular needle size 3 mm (40 cm)

Tension:

18 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm in St st on size 4 mm needles.

When only one figure is given, it applies to all sizes.

Rib pattern in rows:

Multiple of 4 + 2 selvage stitches.

Row 1 (RS): Selvage stitch, P1, *K2tbl (knit 2 through back loop), P2; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, K2tbl, P1, selvage stitch.

Row 2 (WS): Selvage stitch, K1, * P2, K2; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, P2, K1, selvage stitch. Repeat rows 1 and 2 for rib pattern.

Rib pattern in rounds: Multiple of 4. * K2tbl, P2; repeat from * around.

Stocking stitch: Knit on right side (RS), purl on wrong side (WS).

Selvage stitches: On every row: Knit first and last stitch.

BACK

Cast on 106 (114) 122 stitches USING 3mm needles.

Work in rib patt until piece meas 7 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Change to size 4 mm needles.

Maintaining selvage stitches, work in Stocking stitch until piece measures 34 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape armholes:

Cast off 4 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows, 3 stitches at beg of next 2 rows, 2 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows, 1 stitch at beg of next 8 (10) 12 rows = 80 (86) 92 stitches. Work even until armhole measures 18 (19) 20) cm, ending with a WS row.

Shape shoulders:

At beginning of row at each shoulder edge cast off 6 (6) 7 stitches 1 time, then 6 stitches 3 times (then 7 stitches 3 times) then 7 stitches 1 time, 8 stitches 2 times. Bind off rem 32 stitches.

FRONT

Work same as back until piece measures 44 (45) 46 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape neck: Next row (RS): Cast off centre 10 stitches. Working each side separately, bind off 3 stitches at each neck edge 1 time, 2 stitches 1 time, 1 stitch 6 times and when same length as back to shoulders, shape shoulders same as for back. No stitches remaining.

SLEEVES

Cast on 58 stitches using 3mm needles cast on 58 stitches. Work in rib pattern until piece measures 7 cm from cast-on, increasing 20 stitches evenly across last WS row = 78 stitches.

Change to size 4 mm needles.

Maintaining selvage stitches, work in Stocking stitch and shape sleeve as follows: Increase 1 stitch at each end of 7th row, then every 6th row 8 times (then every alternate 4th and 6th row 10 times) then every 6th row 1 time, then every 4th row 11 times = 96

(100) 104 stitches.

Work even until piece measures 28 cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape sleeve cap:

Cast off 5 stitches at beginning of next 2 rows, 2 stitches at beginning of next 2 (4) 4 rows, 1 stitch at beginning of next 12 (12) 14 rows, [work 2 rows even, cast off 1 stitch at beginning of next 2 rows] 3 (3) 2 times, then bind off 1 stitch at beginning of next 6 (6) 10 rows, 2 stitches at beginning of next 4 (4) 4 rows, 3 stitches at beginning of next 2 (2) 2 rows. Bind off remaining 44 stitches.

Finishing

Pin pieces to measurements and block omitting rib pattern. Sew shoulder seams.

NECKBAND

With 3mm circular needle, pick up and knit 108 stitches evenly around neck edge. Place beginning of round marker and join for working in rounds. Work rib pattern in rounds for 4 cm. Cast off all stitches in rib. Sew in sleeves, bringing top of sleeve cap into pleats as shown in illustration.

Sew side and sleeve seams.

Left front band: Row 1 (RS): Work to last 13 sts, [P1, sl 1 kwise wyib] 5 times, P1, two-stitch selvage.

Row 2 (WS): Two-stitch selvage, [K1, P1] 5 times, K1 = 13 sts, work to end.

Right front band:

Row 1 (RS): Two-stitch selvage, [P1, sl 1 kwise wyib] 5 times, P1 = 13 sts.

Row 2 (WS): Work to last 13 sts, [K1, P1] 5 times, K1, two-stitch selvage.

Two-stitch selvage:

On RS row, sl 1 pwise wyib, K1, patt to last 2 sts, K1, sl 1 pwise wyib. On WS row, P1, sl 1 pwise wyif, patt to last 2 sts, sl 1 pwise wyif, P1.

Full-fashion decrease:

At beg of RS row, selvage st, K2, skp (slip 1 as if to knit, K1, pass sliped st over); at end of RS row, work to last 5 sts, k2tog, K2, selvage st.

Full-fashion increase:

On RS row: M1R (lift strand between sts from the back, knit through front loop), 4 sts in from each edge.

BACK

Cast on 99 (107) 115 sts using 4mm needles.

Next row (WS): Selvage st, * P1, K1; rep from * to last 2 sts, P1, selvage st.

Work in rib patt as set by last row until piece meas 6cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Change to 6mm needles.

Work in St St and shape sides as foll: Working full-fashion inc, inc 1 st at each end of 17th row, then every 16th row 3 times = 107 (115) 123 sts.

Work even until piece meas 37cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.

Shape armholes:

Cast off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Working full-fashion dec, dec 1 st at each end of next 9 RS rows = 81 (89) 97 sts.

Work even until armhole meas 18 (19) 20 cm, ending with a WS row. Working full-fashion inc, inc 1 st at each end of next RS row, then every 6th row 1 time, then every 4th row 2 times = 89 (97) 105 sts.

Work even until armhole meas 24 (25) 26 cm, ending with a WS row.

Shape shoulders and neck:

At each shoulder edge, at beg of row, cast off 3 (4) 5 sts 1 time, then 4 sts 5 times (then 4 sts 2 times, 5 sts 3 times) then 5 sts 4 times, 6 sts 1 time.

At same time, when piece meas 63.5 (64.5) 65.5 cm from cast-on, shape neck as foll: Next row (RS): Bind off center 31 sts. Working each side separately, cast off 4 sts at each neck edge 1 time, 2 sts 1 time. No sts rem.

POCKET LINING

Make 2.

Cast on 36 (38) 40 sts 6mm needles.

Work in St St for 5cm, ending with a WS row.

Place sts on holder, cut yarn.

LEFT FRONT

Cast on 59 (63) 67 sts 4mm needles.

Next row (WS): Two-stitch selvage,

* K1, P1; rep from * to last 2 sts, K1, selvage st.

Next row (RS): Selvage st, work in rib patt as established to last 13 sts, work left front band over last 13 sts. Work in patt as set by last row for 2 cm, ending with a RS row.

Next WS (buttonhole) row: Two-stitch selvage, [K1, P1] 2 times, k2tog, yo, work to end. On foll RS row, K into yo.

Work 4 more buttonholes spaced 12.5 (13) 13 cm apart.
