Bipod versus sticks debate

Q I have recently been looking into the merits of having a bipod on the rifle and also carrying a set of support sticks for the occasions when I take standing shots. The fitted bipod adds weight, so I have been thinking about removing it. What do you think?

A Generally, I have both when I am stalking, but it really depends on the ground that you stalk. It is important that we use the best rest available prior to taking any shot, as that reduces the chances of an error and potentially wounding your target.
