Master the middle pedal

When asked what’s the hardest thing to learn in performance driving, I’d have to say the brake pedal. You might think it should be picking the best line on track or managing the car at the limit in a corner. Granted, these two skills don’t come easily, but the brake pedal is one of the most difficult driver controls to master. It’s not there just to slow you down.

If you’re new to performance cars and a 911 is your first ‘proper’ sports car, then I’m sure you’re more concerned with its powerful rear-wheel drive nature than polishing your relationship with its stoppers. For readers best described as ‘old hands’
