Minnesota Wonderland

You won’t find French Lake, Minn., on many atlases, but old car enthusiasts around the world know it’s there; some can even tell you it’s located just an hour northwest of Minneapolis’s western-most suburbs. The unincorporated township’s hub is located at the intersection of Wright County Roads 3 and 37, where there’s a gas station on one corner and a few homes dotting the prairie landscape at the other corners. Driving north on County Road 3 just a quarter-mile or so north from French Lake’s main intersection will take you to one of the hobby’s most well-regarded pull-your-own-part resources for vintage car and truck parts and project vehicles.
