CRAFT FROM THE HEART
My reason for writing to you is to express an idea for a theme for your magazine that came to mind recently, along the lines of ‘handicraft that cares’, inspiring readers to make things that can be donated to people in need.
Many of us are already on a tight budget, so being able to use cheap or recycled materials – for example, knitting squares with wool unwound from old jerseys, buying mixed bags of wool from charity shops, cutting up strips from plastic shopping bags to crochet into mats for animal shelters – would be helpful.
